First, you must accept that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

Second, you must accept that as a sinner, you owe a debt.
Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death ..."

Third, you must accept that Jesus Christ has already paid your debt.
Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Fourth, you must accept by faith what Jesus did for you.
John 3:36, "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not on the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

The word "believe" means to trust, to depend on, to rely on.

Friend, will you put your full trust and dependence in Jesus Christ and Him alone for salvation? Simply pray a prayer such as this:

"Dear God, I admit I am a sinner. I admit that I deserve to pay for my sins. I believe Jesus Christ is Your perfect Son and that He died for my sins and rose from the dead. I want my sins forgiven. I do now receive Jesus Christ and trust Him to save me. Take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me right now. Amen."
